Trademark Class
The trademark is divided into 45 different categories such as the NICE trademark division, also known as the International Certificate of Goods for Goods and Services. Each trademark category represents a different set of goods and services.
When applying for a trademark registration, you are required to search for a trademark to avoid conflicts. It is important to choose the right trademark class as incorrect trademark classification may interfere with the registration process.
Trademark applications can be submitted to more than one class if the business activity involves a variety of goods or services that fall under different trademark categories. In addition, even if a registered trademark exists under one category, another entity may apply for a trademark under another category.
Therefore, the application of a trademark application under one category does not provide complete variation in the use of the trademark. Trademark only includes the use of the trademark in relation to the category of goods or services for which the trademark is registered. Use a trademark tool to find the right brand for your goods or service from more than 80,000 goods and services.
Of the 45 classes mentioned below, 34 are under the Goods category, and 11 are under the service category.
The basis for trademark classification
Separation of Trademark Properties
According to its function and purpose, the finished product is classified. Suppose a product is not mentioned in any of the classes, and you are compared with other finished products listed in the list. A multi-functional product can be identified in all categories associated with any of its functions. If those services are not specified in any category, other methods such as immature products or their method of operation will follow.
Raw materials or processed products are classified according to their composition. Where the product is made of different materials; it is organized by the elements.
Classification of Trademark Services
Services are categorized based on the functional categories specified in the service class topics and descriptive notes. Rental services are divided into similar categories. A service that provides advice, information, or consultation is divided into the same category as services related to the topic of advice, information, or consultation.
